Deborah Gjeloshaj has worked as a professional singer, coach and music teacher for 25 years for companies including the BBC Welsh Singers, Delfont Macintosh Theatres and the International American School in Switzerland with celebrated conductors like Richard Hickox and Barry Griffiths OBE at venues including the Royal Albert Hall and Her Majesty’s theatre

She has sung throughout the United Kingdom, including the prestigious Stratford-Upon-Avon Music Festival and at Chester and Gloucester Cathedrals, with great pianists like David Mackie and Carol-Anne Wells.

Deborah has performed many Lieder recitals, as a soloist with orchestras and jazz quartets, is the vocal facilitator for Les Miserables in the West End and is currently recording new compositions of contemporary classical music by Rodney Janet Stone.

Deborah is “in demand” as an international lecturer on Opera, and specialising in the operas of Puccini, Wagner and Mozart, and on the history of western classical music.

in 2014, she founded the Kitchen Youth Opera company which inspires young singers between the ages of 9 and 18 to perform and understand opera.

Deborah’s first CD, Shadows of the Twentieth Century, which features her renditions of works by William Walton and Arnold Schoenberg, and her second CD, Shapes of Love, are available to hear and buy here.
