Deborah Gjeloshaj studied music at the Junior Guildhall School of Music and Drama specialising in voice, under the guidance of David Joyner and coaches Mollie Petrie and Ann Alderson Bevan: Piano under Aida Gavrioliva and recorder under Marion Scott. In 1991 she was awarded the singers prize for outstanding achievement.
In 1991 she went to Cardiff University where she studied a music degree and was vocally coached by Trixi Unsworth and Beate Popperwell. In 1994 she was awarded the David Evans music award.
After graduating she went abroad to Lugano, giving her the opportunity to study voice with James Loomis and Signora Ferrigini from the Milan Conservatoire.
On returning from Italy she has studied with Professor Ava June and Coach Paul Arden-Griffiths (Founder of London Opera Vocal).
In 2007 she was awarded a Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music.
